DotNetNuke For Dummies
DNN Photo Gallery was  featured in a the newly released book "DotNetNuke For Dummies" by Lorraine Young,  Philip Beadle, Scott Willhite and Chris Paterra.

Today’s digital cameras take great photos!

Many of them produce images that are suitable for printing and display on our walls.  Unfortunately many of those pictures are extremely large right out of the camera.  This means that they're slow to transfer and hog server resources unnecessarily.  Pictures viewed on a computer monitor can be much smaller while still producing great viewing quality.

DNN Photo Gallery gives you the choice of how you want the uploaded pictures stored.

You can set a combination of Quality/Width to suit the needs of each of your gallery modules.

Take a look at this gallery as an example.  The original photo was 3000px wide and 2658 K (2.5 MEG)!

You can see by the size of the photos that photos may be greatly reduced in size while still retaining their viewing quality.
