Administration Overview

The Admin Function screens are available to web site administrators.

When an administrator accesses these screens, the photo gallery continues to function in the space below the screens.  This allows an administrator to test their settings and see the result immediately.  This greatly diminishes the time necessary to customize a gallery to fit in with your skin's theme.

The Import/Export Screen allows the administrator to move the perfected setting easily to new DNN Photo Gallery modules.

The administrators also have the option of turning off the Gallery Display page, thus directing users directly to all gallery content.  The administrator can take advantage of this functionality to place one or more images where they please.  The Home page of this site is simply three different DNN Photo Gallery modules with the Gallery Page turned off.

The administrator can also give groups administrative privileges on a per gallery basis.  The gallery administrators have rights to define the gallery settings and edit/delete photos of other members in the gallery.

The administrator sets the default language but can allow each user the option of selecting a different language.  DNN Photo Gallery comes standard with English, Portuguese, French and German.  It also has the mechanism in place for you to add or modify language files easily.  This means that you can easily translate your gallery into different languages or simply change the text that appears on your gallery.

Each screen element in DNN Photo Gallery has a corresponding style.  The style controls the font/size/color of text displayed on the screen.  You can easily modify the styles via the Styles Admin Screen.
